An authentic Savoyard village on the edge of the Vanoise National Park, Champagny is a charming resort nestling in a forest of fir trees, ideally located for quick and easy access into the main La Plagne ski domain (8mins by cable car).

Accommodation and facilities

At last the girls get a look in!, our famous Girlie spa week is in this residence.  For complete relaxation and indulgence,   what could be better than a week’s chilling with the girls in the beautiful French Alps.  No men, no kids, no responsibilities, just great company, a lovely spa,sunshine and snow.

The resort is divided into 2 areas: Champagny Station, with a direct gondola link to the slopes and Champagny-Le-Haut, gateway to the Vanoise National Park and its extensive cross-country ski domain. Residence Les Alpages is made up of four 4-storey chalet-style buildings divided into 66 apartments (lift access to all except 6 apartments), with superb panoramic views over the village and valley.

The residence is located 1km from the centre of Champagny and 1.5km from the gondola and ESF ski school. A free shuttle bus takes you from the residence to the village and lift station.

Guests at the residence have free use of a heated indoor swimming pool and a fitness room as well as a comfortable communal lounge area with an open fire. In addition to a pool table (payable) and a table tennis table you will also find here daily newspapers and tea making facilities. Wi-fi access is available in reception (payable) and baby equipment (high chair and cot) can be loaned free of charge (subject to availability) as well as other useful items including hair drier and iron, board games and fondue sets.

The 2 bedroom apartment (sometimes split level) for 6 people measures approximately 53/68m².

There is a living area with sleeping for two people, a flat-screen satellite TV and a telephone.

The adjoining kitchenette is equipped with a ceramic hob, a microwave oven, a fridge and a dishwasher as well as an electric coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle.

There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, a bathroom with separate WC and sometimes an extra shower.

Apartments have either a balcony or a terrace.

Bed linen and towels are provided however beds are not made up prior to your arrival. This service is available for an extra charge.

This residence offers a selection of accessible accommodation: 2 x type 24 and 32 x type 36/36X. Adapted apartments are usually situated on the ground floor and close to the lifts. It usually consists of wider doorways, bathrooms with handrails etc… However, please note that kitchens may not be suitable and ovens may be out of reach for wheelchair users.

There is a snack bar 'Le Red Run' within the residence and a shuttle bus (payable), provided by the local restaurants, runs between the residence and various eateries. Croissants and bread can be ordered the previous day at reception and collected in the morning. Attached to the residence is a ski-hire shop.

A small supermarket, bakery and speciality food shop provide all the essentials and there are several bars and restaurants, not to mention a disco and cinema to provide evening entertainment.

In Champagny you will also find: a doctors surgery, a dentist, a physio, a pharmacy, an ATM, and a post office.

In addition to excellent downhill skiing opportunities, other adventure sports such as ice-climbing, paragliding and more gentle snow-shoeing are all on hand.
