Courchevel decided ten years ago to create the first ever International Pyrotechnic art festival. This was unique in Europe, and the festival has a back drop of snow, pine trees and the stars. The makings of dreams for both big and small! This competition, in the form of great firework shows, allows several specialist pyrotechnic companies to demonstrate their savoir-faire. The drawing of straws determines which company is placed in each of the four levels of Courchevel. Every year, there is a defined theme.

This year from the 14 th to the 28th February, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Festival, the winners of the past 4 years will compete against each other.

Following the festival, the Top Prize for the most beautiful production will be awarded, in the same way as the palm in the Cannes film festival "The Jury Special", during a ceremony on the Courchevel 1850 snow front. Every year, almost 8000 spectators attend the shows put on by the firework artists, and have a drop of the mulled wine prepared for the occasion by the entertainment team from the tourist office at Courchevel.
